Weinberg, Gnessin, Tcherepnin, and more at the Razumovsky Academy
Luba Ulbysheva and I have been performing together for over 15 years and will be making our first recording with Odradek over Easter 2022. It will consist of two discs of lesser-known Russian music for cello and piano. We have organised a series of recitals in preparation.
Four hands recital with Janneke Brits
We return to the En blanc et Noir Festival, where we are Assistant Artistic Directors, to present a recital of four hands music from the late 19th/early 20th centuries, interspersed with solo works by Scriabin. This will feature the premiere of our own transcription of Isolde’s Liebestod from Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde.
Russian Cello and Piano Music
Cellist Luba Ulybysheva and I will take a break midway through our recording project with Odradek to perform a programme from our double disk in Odradek’s wonderful studio ‘The Spheres’. Programme TBC.
Late Scriabin Sonatas
A lunchtime lecture-rectial in the brand new concert hall at Liverpool University. Sonata no. 10 will be performed accompanied by a lighting design curated by Dr Kenneth Smith.

Scriabin and Rachmaninoff , part 2
Part 2 of the Park Lane Group’s celebration of Scriabin and Rachmaninoff. Programme TBC. I will present a pre-concert talk, details to be published soon.
Scriabin and Rachmaninoff
The first of two concerts hosted by the Park Lane Group celebrating Scriabin’s 150th anniversary, alongside Rachmaninoff, his contemporary and classmate at the Moscow Conservatory. After Scriabin’s death Rachmaninoff gave a series of recitals in Scriabin’s honour. Final programme TBC.
